Аннотация доклада:
We propose a new method for calculation of the effective thickness of an isotropic metafilm. It is demonstrated that under specific conditions an isotropic metafilm can be represented as a thin film which has very small thickness depending on the wavelength of the incident wave. Such homogenization can be done only if there are no “meta” effects caused by the collective interactions between meta-atoms.
