Аннотация доклада:
The magnetocaloric effect of gadolinium was studied in high static magnetic fields up to 14 T. In region of magnetic phase transition was discovered a giant value of MCE Gd caused by paraprocess and equal to 19,5 K in a magnetic field 14 T. The measurements of MCE Gd were made on an experimental device that has been designed and constructed by authors. The magnetic field dependences of a maximum MCE for Gadolinium (experimental curves) well described using the thermodynamic theory of Landau
