In autumn of 2008 special scientific experiment has been carried out in Obninsk town (Kaluga region of Russia). At that time three German sodars operated simultaneously there in close vicinity of high meteorological mast having 300 m height: “MODOS” sodar produced by METEK firm, one more sodar “MFAS” produced by Scintec firm and, besides, “ECHO-1” sodar produced in former GDR. Comparisons of wind profiles have been presented and discussed below in details. The main result of the experiment is that a quality of wind measurements by both up-to-date Doppler sodars is high generally. Besides, some methodical questions have been discussed additionally.
