GENERAL RHYTHMS OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES Yu. V. Barkin Sternberg Astronomical Institute, Moscow State University barkin@sai.msu.ru/Fax: +7-095-9328841 The big bodies of the planetary systems in the Galaxy (including the central star) define a system of the eccentric and non-homogeneous envelopes. These envelopes are also some celestial bodies, executing definite relative translatory-rotary motions due to mutual gravitational interactions and to gravitational interactions with other bodies of the planetary system and Galaxy. The studies of the problem about relative translational motion of the spherical envelopes in the gravitational field of other planets and of the Galaxy allow us to describe very important regularities of the dynamics and evolution of the planetary system bodies. Here I formulate them for the Solar system. 1. Frequency basis of the relative oscillations of the planet envelopes are common to all the bodies of the Solar system (including the Sun) and coincide with the basis of frequencies of the planetary orbital theory. 2. Envelopes of all the bodies of the Solar system execute synchronous relative oscillations under the gravitational action of the Galaxy with characteristic periods 800, 400, 250 My and some others. These general regularities in particular describe: (1) synchronism of the global geological events and catastrophes on the Sun, Earth and Moon (variations of the Sun activity, cyclicity of the biology life, geological chronology table, cyclicity and inversion of the supercontinents formation ant their break-up); (2) synchronism of the seismic phenomena on the Earth, Moon and Sun; (3) geological variations of the geopotential, of the Earth axial rotation, of the pole paleomigration; episodic upsets of the Earth.
