Complex compound machines like cars, yachts, airplanes (and even spaceships) became an essential part of our everyday life many years ago. Some of them we can drive or manipulate effortlessly, but some of them require special handling skills. Most of these skills people acquire quite fast and easy on dedicated training courses, but some of them come with years of practice. To reduce time for training and get unbiased results we use max-min testing algorithm. We have implemented this algorithm in several simulators on the panoramic virtual reality system at the Moscow State University. This panoramic system is able to create full scale immersive virtual environment during the control process. Realistic user experience achieved through manipulating the person’s vestibular system, vision and other receptor organs. In this presentation we will tell you how our algorithms, mathematical models and software are used for space flight and car simulations.
