To the best of our knowledge the hybrid dendrimers consisting of two different dendritic segments are very scarce. This is especially true for the combination of rigid and flexible blocks. In this work the experiments have been made regarding the applicability of Diels-Alder reaction for the synthesis of dendrimer hybrids from pre-synthesized carbosilane dendrimers bearing allyl termini and tetraphenylsubstituted cyclones. Thus dendrimers with soft carbosilane core and rigid phenylene shell have been synthesized and demonstrated the unusual thermophysical behavior that was expected to differ both from entirely rigid or flexible dendrimers. Approach developed allows for the fine tuning of properties of the dendrimer hybrids due to accurate selection of dendritic blocks combination. The dendrimers synthesized were characterized by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy, MALDI-TOF MS and GPC analysis. The influence of blocks of different rigidity on the glass transition temperature of dendrimers was determined.
