British at the beginning of the 18-th century showed considerable interest in a level of development of sciences in Russia. The plant «rhubarb» was delivered to Great Britain from Russia and, thanks to it, became very popular there. At the beginning of the 18th century British doctor Areskin (Dr. Erskine) took the leading positions in the Russian medicine. Manuscripts of the 18th century from Archive of the Royal Society of Great Britain allow describing and analysing history of relationship and mutual influence of the British and Russian schools of sciences.
