We introduce a new method of a spatial detector tomography. The spatial mode detector represents a complicated system which response is hardly to be modeled. For experimentally measuring such responses one should prepare pure input states with a perfect quality but this is another difficult experimental task. Our method allows one to measure spatial detector responses on the high-order spatial modes without generation of them. This may be very helpful in experiments where detection states are unknown and may be a mixture or superposition of a pure spatial modes, in this case one needs to take into account the detector errors for the right input state reconstruction.
