- Описание: Introduction to the course includes acquaintance with such a concept as energy, consideration of energy sources, types of energy, a review of renewable and non-renewable energy sources. The use of solar cells, application of quantum dots in solar cells for the effective absorption of solar energy, obtaining energy from algae biomass, and the production of biofuels are considered. In the course the process of photosynthesis are considered as an example of the efficient absorption and storage of energy. Optical methods (fluorescence methods and absorption spectroscopy) for probing photosynthesis processes will also be considered. Material on semi-artificial and artificial photosynthesis, and devices based on them for energy production, are presented.
