Описание:This lecture course will cover the fundamental principles of the lasers systems. The goal of the course is that the students shall have deep understanding of the theory for laser physics and be able to describe main types of the lasers. The first half of the course is a theoretical and concerns the foundations of quantum electronics: basic principles of amplification by stimulated emission of radiation, various types of broadening mechanisms and physics of optical resonators. The second part of the course has an applied character and it is devoted to the most common types of the lasers: various gas and solid state quantum generators, pulsed systems, fiber-optical and diode lasers, etc.
