- Описание: Training course "Geology of seas and oceans" refers to the geological cycle, provides a logical relationship with other disciplines. It is held in 8 semesters. It is preceded by geological discipline 1-3 courses ("General Geology", "Historical Geology", "Structural Geology"); special disciplines 3 course "Principles of stratigraphy," "Paleogeographic conditions of sedimentary basins," as well as academic and industrial geological practice. A course of lectures "Geology of Seas and Oceans" - consists of two parts: the first provides an overview of the structure of deep parts of the oceans and marginal seas of Russia, second - features sedimentary processes in the oceans and marginal seas. Discipline structure is: 1. Morphology of oceans. Key elements of the structure. Toponymy. Ocean crust (Mid-ocean Ridges;Active margin and deep-sea basins; Major structural features of the Arctic and Far Eastern seas of Russia;Volcanic structures (islands, mountains, guyots). Sedimentation in the ocean.The structure of the water column of the oceans;sedimentation on passive and active margins of the oceans; Siliceous and carbonate sediments and their distribution on the ocean floor; climatic zonation as a determining factor in the distribution of biosediments; temp of sedimentation and thicknesses of sediment in the oceans.
