Аннотация:Dissertation by Zhifu GUO «Biodiagnosis of freshwater reservoirs in the vicinity of Shenzhen» presents analysis of assessment of the quality of freshwater resources as a potential source of public and environmental health hazard in Shenzhen, South China. It was demonstrated by the lack of literature in this subject. The objective of study was to carry out a comparative analysis of freshwater resources of Shenzhen, South China. The samples of surface water were taken during a fieldwork in several freshwater lakes and reservoir, rivers including estuaries, and pound located in Shenzhen, South China. Water physicochemical properties analysis were made using Multiparameter waterproof meter was used for pH, dissolved oxygen, total solids and total dissolved solids, electrical conductivity, salinity, turbidity and water temperature determination. Variable fluorescence measurements were performed on samples from the standard assays by AquaPen-C AP-C 100 according to OJIP protocol. Toxicity of water samples was evaluated using bioassay with Daphnia magna for 96 hours. Advanced fluorescence analysis within the wide range of excitation wavelengths from was used to study natural dissolved organic matter (DOM) in the samples.
