- Аннотация: Functionalization of rotundifuran - natural labdane-type diterpene, isolated from vitex agnus-castus, was performed using radical-type reactions. The compound contains an unactivated furan ring as one of the key structural moiety. Heterocyclic systems (including furan) undergo radical aromatic substitution (Minisci-type reactions) with electrophilic radicals. Derivatives containing (ethoxycarbonyl)methyl, malonyl and cyanomethyl substituents at the furan 2-position were obtained and fully characterized.
