Аннотация:The topic of the master's thesis, chosen by Trubitsin K. A., is among the most difficult both in theoretical and practical terms.
A private military company is a non-governmental organization authorized by the state to solve military tasks.
The study of the international practice of using private military companies in modern military conflicts for the implementation of state-owned politically significant projects in the world practice is extremely relevant.
Private military companies have been involved in various conflicts around the globe for about half a century, and their activities are regulated by law only in a small number of States.
The United States and the United Kingdom have made the most progress in this regard: in these countries there are special laws, the subject of which is the activity of PMCs.
There is no single international system for regulating the activities of PMCs.
There are NO uniform standards for distinguishing the legal activities of such companies from mercenary activities, which are immoral from the point of view of international law and contradict the criminal legislation of most countries. Against this background, the search for the reasons for the search for more effective forms of regulation of PMC activities seems to be a non-trivial analytical task.
The author was able to correctly formulate the purpose of the study: the prospects for modernizing the role of private military companies as a tool for maintaining global order in the context of growing geopolitical tensions. The author managed to fully reveal the problem under consideration and make his own contribution to its study.
