Аннотация:The nanocrystalline indium oxide (In2O3) samples with grain size in range of 7 nm to 40 nm prepared by sol-gel method are obtained. Electrical properties of the In2O3 samples exposed to NO2 in range from 2 ppm to 8 ppm under the ultraviolet (UV) illumination and in the dark are investigated. The influence of UV illumination of In2O3 surface on the response to NO2 is studied. The response increases with the decrease of grain sizes when In2O3 is illuminated while in the dark In2O3 with intermediate grain size exhibits the highest response. An explanation of the different behavior of the In2O3 with different nanocrystals sizes response to NO2 under illumination and in the dark is proposed.
