Аннотация:Proinflammatory cytokines TNF, IL-6 and IL-1 contribute to pathogenesis of autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases, therefore their systemic inhibition became an essential part of the therapy. Yet, recent studies indicate that these cytokines (in particular, TNF) produced by distinct cell types may sometimes play anti-inflammatory role. Thus, systemic cytokine inhibition may act as a double-edged sword disrupting both pathogenic and protective signaling. We are developing an approach to cell type-restricted cytokine neutralization by utilizing bispecific antibodies that may attach to cell surface of particular immunocytes, and capture an inflammatory cytokine released by these cells.
