Аннотация:The effect of extirpation of the zone representing the forelimb in the motor cortex on precision motor reactions of the limb involving search of and stay in a ‘safety zone’ (4cm wide) has been studied. After the surgery the phase of ‘safety zone’ search is disturbed, the correcting movements are less effective (especially when the limb is higher than the ‘safety zone’), and the amplitude of correcting movements increases. The phase of stay of the limb within the ‘zone’ is disturbed to a lesser extent. Mechanisms of participation of the motor cortex in the regulation of the precision and fineness of movements and in regulation of the learned coordinations, antagonistic to congenital, are discussed.
