Аннотация:Satellites GRACE were launched in March 2002 and since that time they are measuring the global gravity field with unprecedented accuracy. Besides static global gravity field models, GRACE data permit construction of monthly models, thus for the first time making it possible studying temporal variations of the Earth gravity field.
Due to considerable improvement in data processing and dumping of noise of different origin the present-day GRACE gravity models contain up to 80 spherical harmonics, thus capturing gravity variations of up to 250 km half-wavelength. Besides more that 120 monthly gravity models are now available from the web-sites of CSR, Huston, Texas, GRGS, Toulous, France, GFZ, Potsdam, Germany and other institutions. Increasing resolution and precision of the monthly gravity models together with accumulation of long time-series opens new perspectives for the GRACE data applications.
Many studies were devoted to analysis and interpretation of the GRACE gravity data. In particular GRACE data improved our knowledge in dynamics of oceans, seasonal and long-term hydrology, mass variation of glaciers. In geodynamics the most important results are in studying of seismic circle in the areas of recent giant earthquakes. Paper presents some new results of investigation of co-seismic and post-seismic processes.
