- Аннотация: A map of the horizontal velocity inhomogeneities in the Upper Mantle under the Central and Western Tien-Shan is constructed. A comparative analysis is made between this map and smoothed representations of the present-day relief; the amplitudes of the vertical tectonic movements during recent time and during the Neogenic, Quaternary and Holocene periods;the Moho surface; and the residual isostatic anomalies. A fundamental difference is shown in the correlations between the considered plots for the Central and Western Tien-Shan on different sides of the Talas –Fergana fault zone.
