Аннотация:The study is devoted to a detailed assessment of the characteristics, areas and boundaries of the floodplain inundation. Lena River near the city of Yakutsk (from Tabaga to Kangalassy) using remote sensing data and methods of hydrodynamic modeling with GIS technologies. Mathematical modeling was carried out using the software package "Stream_2D" (Belikov et al., 2014), which is based on the solution of the two-dimensional equations of Saint-Venant The analysis of the dynamics of flooding over the period 2009-2015 was fulfilled and further calibration and verification of hydrodynamic model for the periods of ice drift and ice jam was done. Numerical experiments for assessing of sensitivity of flooding characteristics to changes in input conditions (water flow, roughness, channel topography) were performed.
