Аннотация:An attempt is made to explain the variability of the taxonomically complicated genus Alchemilla L. (Rosaceae) by the hypothesis of an agamo-sexual complex. In the Alchemilla of the middle zone of the European part of the USSR, which are regarded as obligatory-apomictetic, forming no normal pollen, pollen grains were discovered germinating on 5 % agar at 10 and 20% of saccharose. Furthermore separate agamic species vere found to have not one, but several modes of embryonic germ formation, so that thei hate to be considered as facultative rather than obligatory apomicts. Agamospecies that are taxonomically ragistered are separate morphological variants in polymorphic (modes of germ formation, chromosome numbers, morphological and other characters) Alchemilla population.
