Аннотация:The GdScxTi1-xGe (x=0-1) solid solutions have been studied by means of X-ray powder diffraction and magnetic measurements. It is found that these new compounds crystallize in the CeScSi-type structure. All GdScxTi1-xGe compounds with CeScSi-type structure demonstrate ferromagnetic behavior with high values of Curie temperatures. A significant polarization of the d-bands in Ti and Ge leads to the high magnetic ordering temperatures of the GdSc xTi1-xGe compounds due to the indirect exchange via the d-band. The large and positive paramagnetic Curie temperatures and positive exchange parameters also indicate dominant ferromagnetic interactions in the GdScxTi1-xGe compounds.
