Аннотация:Numerous investigations are devoted to the use of mu-
mijo as an agent accelerating regenerative and repair proc-
esses in the human organism [1-4].
One of the factors influencing the healing process is the
cell growth rate. In this connection, we made an attempt to
study the effect of mumijo on the cell morphology and direc-
tional migration.
Experiments were performed with a dry mumijo extract
(DME) obtained using a raw mumijo material from Altai,
Mongolia, and Yakutia deposits according to an original
technology involving repeated extraction with water and
evaporation of the aqueous extract to a residual moisture con-
tent of not more than 7%.
None of the samples of DME studied produced any
change in morphology of the epithelial cell culture or stimu-
lated the cell migration. A small increase in the number of
polynuclear cells and their darker color are observed as com-
pared to control cultures.
