Аннотация:Characteristics of the low-latitude boundary layer (LLBL) of the magnetosphere of the Earth are investigated on the base of INTERBALL/Tail probe observations. The LLBL is formed due to the mixing of magnetosheath and plasma sheet plasma. Variations of the fluxes of ions (measured by the CORALL instrument) and electrons (measured by the ELECTRON instrument) are analyzed. Variations of the magnetic field measured by the MIF instrument are compared with the variations of particle fluxes. The nature of the processes leading to the intermittent character of observed particle fluxes is discusses.
