Аннотация:In the light of the Russian Federation international obligations and measures to abate GHG emissions contained in the Paris Agreement, the upgraded methodology of calculating the sequestration capacity of Russian forests has been developed and discussed. Serviceability of the methodology and computer program demonstrated by the example of coniferous-broad-leaved (mixed) forest zone of the European-Ural part of Russia. Comparative analysis of carbon stock in the bio-mass accounted with the developed technique with State Forest Inventory data on permanent sample plots performed. Carbon stock in biomass in the tested area de-signed on technique accounted for 78,59±28,29 t C/ha and according to State Forest Inventory data on permanent sample plots was 88,91±35,61 t C/ha. Ambi-guity evaluations at a confidence interval of 95% is 36,7% and 41,23% respectively. The results of carbon accumulation and carbon balance assessments presented on the maps.
