Аннотация:The effect of the rare-earth sublattice on the magnetic anisotropy of RFe11Ti (R = Y, Sm, Tb) single crystals was studied. The temperature-dependent magnetic anisotropy constants are determined from torque curves measured as a function of temperature. The magnetic anisotropy in TbFe11Ti is dominated by the negative contribution of the terbium sublattice at low temperatures and by the positive contribution of the iron sublattice at temperatures above 325 K. At 325 K, these contributions compensate for one another, leading to a spin-reorientation transition in TbFe11Ti. The c-axis magnetostriction shows an anomalous increase in the vicinity of TSR = 325 K. The contribution of samarium to the magnetic anisotropy of SmFe11Ti can be interpreted in terms of the single-ion magnetic anisotropy approach with allowance made for J-J mixing.
