Vladimirov, Sternberg Astronomical Institute, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (red mag 16.5) on unfiltered CCD images (scale 2”.1/pixel) taken with the MASTER 0.36-m robotic telescope on Apr. 20.939 UT. Confirming images show the new object still at mag 16.6-16.7 on Apr. 28.9. SN 2005bv is located at R.A. = 14h24m07s.44, Decl. = +26o17’50”.3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 11” east and 9” south of the center of the apparent host galaxy. Nothing was visible at this location on a MASTER image taken on 2004 May 7.92 (limiting mag 18.7).
