Аннотация:The AE proneness of KM strain is maintained as maximal, rats of strain “4” develop AE I n t e r n a t i o n a l C o n g r e s s “Neuroscience for Medicine and Psychology” Sudak, Crimea, Russia, May 30-June 10, 2018 477 seizures of maximal intensity in almost 100% of cases, while rats 0f “0” strain from F35 show no signs of AE in response to sound in about 40% of cases. High seizure readiness of rats from KM strain was confirmed in experiments with subconvulsive corazole dose (40 mg/kg) injections. This convulsant dose induced the typical corazole seizures in rats of KM strain, while in was almost ineffective for rats of “0” strain. Several separate experiments were performed with active avoidance learning in which the spontaneous seizures (of AE type) were noted in KM strain rats during this procedure, while no such effect was noted in “0” rats. Myoclonic seizure (of AK pattern) which develop due to epileptiform activity in the forebrain structures are considered to be the adequate model of human temporal lobe epilepsy. The neonatal treatment of KM rats with suxilep (ethosuxemide) did not change the intensity of generalized AE seizures in these animals as adults, while the pattern of AK (after multiple sound exposures) did change. The data evidence the importance of epileptogenesis studies during AK in KM rats as well as of the efficacy of anticonvulsants using models with seizures of different pattern.
