Аннотация:The effects of microstructure of Dy on the shape of the magnetostriction hysteresis loop are investigated. In the submicron-grained material, the hysteresis loops of giant magnetostriction retain the shape characteristic of ferromagnetic ordering until the magnetostriction disappears as the temperature is increased. In a sample annealed at 573 K, a hysteresis loop suggesting the formation of helical antiferromagnetic ordering appears at 120 K. In the intermediate-grain-sized material, coexisting ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic orderings are observed. In the coarse-grained material, the hysteresis loop observed at 78 K corresponds to the ferromagnetic ordering, whereas the loops observed at 100 K and above correspond to the purely antiferromagnetic ordering.
