Аннотация:The article analyzes the correlation of sociological, psychological, and philosophical aspects of the problem of the male/female. The dynamics of the relationship between the male/female from Antiquity to the present is being traced. The tendencies to smoothing the asymmetries of male and female as cultural phenomena are revealed. Authors consider the Russian philosophical tradition as a unique metaphysics of the masculine/feminine. The fullness of life as a synthesis of male and female, feelings and mind, matter and spirit is considered in Russian philosophy as a natural stage in the evolution of humanity. “Overcoming gender” is considered as the ultimate version of the radicalism of Russian religio-philosophical thought. Another variant of philosophy of male and female is revealed in poststructuralist discourse. A hypothesis is put forward that the performativity of modern social reality causes erasure of the binary opposition of the masculine/feminine nowadays.
