- Аннотация: The article describes the most common myths about the interpretation of seismogeological data in reef reservoirs. They are illustrated by examples of several fields in the Timan-Pechora, the Caspian Sea and East Siberian regions. These include such thoughts as "there are no reflections inside the reefs", "the reef has a homogeneous internal structure", "organogenous structures are always visible on the seismic section", "reefs in the presence of a section will have the greatest prospects in terms of oil and gas in carbonate section" and others. Each thesis is illustrated by an example obtained by the authors, from the experience of working with bioherms in the seismic projects. In each case it is necessary to search for the pattern in view of the degree of knowledge, the quality of seismic materials and the complexity of the reservoir. However, the universal key to understanding any reef reservoir can be a detailed approach to seismic data processing, Rock Fisciss analysis, inversion and complex seismic geological interpretation.
