Аннотация:The crystal structures of the isostructural polyphosphates NaCd(PO3)(3) (I) and NaMn(PO3)(3) (II) were determined using twinned specimens. The parameters of the orthorhombic unit cells are a = 14.678 and 14.406 Angstrom, b = 14.669 and 14.402 Angstrom, and c = 14.705 and 14.408 Angstrom for I and II, respectively; sp. gr. P2(1)2(1)2(1); and Z = 16. The compounds studied have a network structure. A polyphosphate chain whose repeating unit consists of 24 PO4 tetrahedra shares oxygen vertices with NaO6 and (MO6)-O-II octahedra. The similarities and distinctions between the structures of the above polyphosphates and NaMg(PO3)(3) polyphosphate, studied earlier, are discussed.
