Аннотация:A rotating disk electrode was used to study the influence of base-electrolyte concentration (Na2SO4) on the rate of reaction in neutral MnSO4 solutions of the following reaction Mn2+ + 6H2O ⇔ MnO2 + 2e + 4H3O+. The results contradicted qualitative predictions of the Heyrovsky theory, so an exact solution of the electrodiffusion equations was obtained. The solution matched the experimental results quite well.
