Аннотация:The surface excesses Γ+ and Γ- of the K+ and I- ions were calculated on the basis of the electrocapillary curves recorded at the mercury electrode in 0.01 to 1.5 M aqueous KI solutions relative to an electrode of potassium amalgam. The Γ+ and Γ- values were used to find the charge densities of specifically absorbed I- ions at different values of electrode charge density; they were quantitatively characterized by virial adsorption isotherms.
