Аннотация:A Gouy capillary electrometer was used to obtain electrocapillary curves at Ga and Ga-Tl alloy in 1 M KCl solutions containing 0. 01 to 0. 4 M phenol. The adsorbability of phenol at gallium was shown to be significantly lower than that at the alloy. The adsorption poential changes, DELTA ( DELTA E), occurring when changing over from the solution/air to the solution/metal interface were calculated. The higher DELTA ( DELTA E)-values found in the case of Ga-Tl were explained in terms of pi -electron interaction of phenol with surface, which is stronger at the alloy than at Ga.
