Аннотация:We studied the changes in Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, and Zn content in Fucus distichus thallus during a three-day natural experiment under the polar day conditions, Spectral analysis demonstrated the relationship between periodic oscillations of illuminance, temperature, as well as tidal oscillations and quasi-periodic changes in metal content in the algae. The circadian rhythm affected accumulation of the majority of metals except Zn. The changes in Mn, Fe, and Cu were delayed relative to the light oscillations; the delay was 1 h 56 min, 3 h 41 min, and 5 h 5 min for Fe, Cu, and Mn, respectively. By contrast, the changes in Ni content were 11 min ahead of the light oscillations. Temperature increase By 10 C observed over the course of the experiment was accompanied by increased content of Mn, Ni, and Cu and decreased content of Fie and Zn. In addition to 24-h rhythm, all the metals regularly changed with the periods more (Mn and Ni: 32 h; Fe: 36 h) and/or less than the circadian rhythm (Mn, Ni, and Zn: 16 h; Cu: 12 h; Zn: 20 and 10 h), Dispersion analysis of these rhythms has exposed the influence of tidal oscillations on Cu, Mn, and Ni changes, The metals had higher concentration during influx than during reflux. Adaptive application of the tidal rhythm is discussed.
