Аннотация:The influence of hydrogenation on the structural state of Pd–8.3 at % Y alloy foil has been studied by means of x-ray diffraction analysis. It has been established for the first time that less hydrogen is dissolved in the alloy lattice from the saturation side than from the opposite side. The amount of hydrogen in the sample remained almost unchanged during the entire observation period of 800 h. For the first time, a substantial difference has been observed in the variation of the characteristics of the dislocation structure and elastic stresses in the course of relaxation after foil saturation with hydrogen from different sides of a Pd–8.3 at % Y alloy foil.
