Аннотация:The article presents the results of experimental mechanistic studies of thermal and photochemical reactions involving active intermediates (radicals of various types and silylenes) grafted to an activated surface of silica dioxide. Matrix isolation technique of matrix isolation on a surface is applicable to the study of stepwise chemical transformations and the quantitative characteristics of the reactivity of intermediates. Examples of the effect of the state of an activated surface on the direction of transformations involving intermediates and photoinduced transformations of the intermediates under these conditions are considered. The prospects for the development and possible applications of the technique of surface matrix isolation are discussed.
