Аннотация:Two new crystalline phases, Bi(10)Zr(3)Cl(18) (I) and Bi(9)In(3.67)Cl(16) (II), were synthesized by reduction of bismuth trichloride with a mixture of bismuth and zirconium or indium at 450 and 300 degrees C, respectively. The crystal structures of I and II were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both phases crystallize in the hexagonal system and belong to the space group P6(3)/m, Z = 2, with the unit cell parameters a = 13.869(1) angstrom and c = 10.708(2) angstrom for I (R = 0.056), and a = 14.026(2) angstrom and c = 10.539(2) angstrom, for II (R = 0.060). Both phases contain cluster Bi(9)(5+) polycations and halometallate anions. Both phases are found to be disorded.
