Аннотация:It was suggested to use foreign-metal adatoms in order to exclude complicating effects of adsorbed hydrogen when studying hydrogen dissolution in the substrate metal. It was found that the specific solubility of hydrogen is higher in Pd electrodeposits than in compact Pd; the difference is particularly pronounced for deposits produced at E(r)dep = -50 mV. It was suggested by considering literature data concerning the structure of electrodeposited palladium that these differences in the solubility of hydrogen arise from structural differences between compact Pd and Pd electrodeposits.
