Аннотация:Three structurally distinct fractions of teichoic acid were isolated from the cell wall of Streptomyces chrysomallus BKM Ac-628. All polymers isolated are composed of 1,5-poly(ribitol phosphate) chains with side ribitol phosphate units and differ in the degree of substitution with P-D-glucopyranose residues. Some poly(ribitol phosphate) chains contain lactic acid residues. The structures of the polymers were established by chemical methods and NMR spectroscopy. A possible reason for the simultaneous presence of the structurally distinct polymers in the cell wall is discussed.
