Аннотация:Introduction: Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent disease that affects up to 10% of women of reproductive age of all ethnic and social groups. Endometriosis is presence of tissue similar to endometrium outside the uterine and develops symptoms such as pain, bleeding, dysmenorrhea and infertility. Despite intensive research, an understanding of the pathogenesis of endometriosis remains incomplete [1]. Emerging modern theory of endometriosis based on comparison with cancer according to common glycolytic phenotype. Known HK2 dissociation under glucose-6-phosphate treatment leads to apoptosis of the tumor cell [2]. Methods: Expression (qPCR-RT) and intracellular distribution of HK2 (Western Blot) were studied in a primary culture model of stromal cells of the endometriosis focus and normal endometrium (cell culture) and a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of 3-bromopyruvate for the induction of apoptosis (FACS and confocal microscopy with TMRM, PI, Annexin V).Results: Expression level and HK2 distribution for eutopic and ectopic locus derived endometrial cells were similar with tumor phenotype and endometriosis cells facilitated higher sensitivity to 3-bromopyruvate with LD 330 ng / million cells. Conclusion: Warburg effect, expression/translocation of hexokinase 2 to the mitochondrial membrane were observed. Targeting of HK2 with found dose of 3-bromopyruvate induced apoptosis of endometriotic but not endometrial cells.
