Аннотация:The paper is devoted to the problem of establishing a fracture model of a carbonate reservoir with a possibility to distinguish hydraulically conductive fractures. Results of geomechanical modelling are used to provide this possibility as far as the hypothesis of relationship between hydraulically conductive and critically stressed fractures is used for analysis. It is shown that this hypothesis provides a direct translation from stress tensor parameters to limitations on critically stressed fractures’ spatial orientations. This translation was carried out for several synthetic models to analyze the tendencies in hydraulically conductive fractures’ spatial orientations in vicinity of major faults which considerably alter the stress fields. It is shown that both faults’ spatial orientations and tectonic conditions have considerable impact on hydraulically conductive fractures with some general tendencies in hydraulically conductive fractures’ patterns being observed.
