Аннотация:The results of nocturnal experiments in Moscow and suburbs on 1996 and 1999 with using of moving sodar «ECHO-1» are discussed. Two itineraries across city were used, and acoustic sounding was carried out twice or thrice in every point. Simultaneously a stationary sodar was operated for elimination of temporal variation in results. Micrometeorological measurements and an air sampling for subsequent determination of atmospheric pollutants concentrations were made too.
The topography of nocturnal turbulized inversion top demonstrates a clear dome above city centre. Moreover, the location of this dome seems to be depended on wind direction, because it was observed downwind in all cases. The top of turbulized inversion layer is clearly influenced by relief, because it was always significantly higher above the slope foot as comparable as its peak. Besides, some distinctions in the spread of atmospheric pollutants above Moscow were noted. Concentrations of NO and NO2 correlate with value of the NO/NO2 ratio.
