Аннотация:The aim of the study was to test the way Berkan preparation accelerates uterus involution of Black-and-white cows in conditions of the breeding farm “Alga” located in the Krasnokamsk district of the Bashkortostan republic. Rectal study established the location, size and consistency of the cervix and horns of the uterus of cows after childbirth at intervals of 7-10 days before the onset of complete uterine involution. The end of uterine involution was judged by the absence of clinical changes between the two studies. During six days 12 cows of the experimental group got 10 ml of Berkan medicine injected intramuscularly in pararectal fossae once a day. 15 cows of the control group were not injected with the studied preparation. Berkan medicine is a water extract of birch wood, bark and bast. As the result of the experiment it is found that the cows treated with Berkan medicine have the shortest uterus involution period being 27 days. The uterus involution length of the untreated cows was 39 days. If there was a yellow body in the ovaries of the cows in both groups, estrus was induced with the ganadatrope prostaglandin vitamin complex. Then they conducted artificial insemination. Cow pregnancy followed with typical changes in the uterus cervix, body, horns and ovaries was tested by the rectal examination Application of Berkan plant medicine enhanced the reproduction function of cows. Pregnancy in the experimental group was 42% after the first insemination and 92% for the whole experiment. Pregnancy of cows untreated with Berkan preparation was 33% after the first insemination and 80% for three months of the observation (P<0,05). Thus, using Berkan plant medicine reduces the uterus involution period that prevents cows from uterus subinvolution.
