Аннотация:Solvothermally-derived MoO3 polymorphs show unique opportunity for intercalation of benzotriazole (BTA). Growing of molybdenum oxide by thermally-induced polycondensation of molybdic acid in presence of BTA yields the oxide host with the structure adapted for the intercalation of azoles that permits one to attain very high intercalation levels (up to 40 mol %, that is close to the intercalation limit). In the solvothermally-derived BTA-intercalated MoO3 large amount of trapped BTA molecules are kept by simple Van der Waals interactions. Therefore the present study demonstrates a new approach to the development of MoO3:BTA hybrid structure as a very promising nanocontainer depot system for corrosion protection applications.
