Аннотация:Unusually hot weather in conditions of blocking anticyclone took place during two months in summer of 2010 in European part of Russia, including Moscow city. Both maximal and monthly-averaged values of air temperature at that time became higher than at any time before during whole the history of meteorological measurements since the XVIII century. The relative humidity and precipitation amount were, vice versa, extremely low, especially in July. As a result, a lot of fires appeared in Central part of European Russia and dense smoky haze existed above Moscow region till the mid of August. Some centennial meteorological records are discussed.
