Аннотация:The ability to create prospective projections of the things to come and alternative scenarios of the present is one of the definitive characteristics of human conscious. Modern literature has developed a few genres of the fantastic which demonstrate potentialities of human imagination and which are of interest for scholars working within the terrain of imagination studies and creativity theory. The pleasure of the text, in terms of Roland Barthes, can be regarded as an approach to exploring the fantastic. The fantastic as a narrative mode defi es mimetic representations. Its polysemic structure is based on a complex combination of verisimilitude and non-verisimilitude which is a source of narrative pleasure for readers. This problem addresses methods of various disciplines and requires trans- and inter-disciplinary approaches.
