Аннотация:Amorphous glassy perfluorinated polymers attracted attention in membrane science by high gas permeability, large free volume and the possibility to use them efficiently for gas separation. Investigation of perfluorinated polymers with various chemical structure revealed different relationships between structure and transport properties than those known for common, hydrocarbon based polymers. Atypical hydrocarbon solubility properties and deviations from regular solution theory result in their plasticization resistance and improved selectivity of separation of several gas mixtures. In this review, we considered gas permeation parameters of highly and modestly permeable perfluorinated polymers: their free volume estimated via different methods, peculiarity of sorption thermodynamics of these materials and possibilities to use them in several gas separation processes.
