Аннотация:The combined NMR and quantum chemical study of telluriumsolution in trioctylphosphine, for the first time, revealed thenew unexpected P-Te species. The observed intermediates areabsolutely different from the species forming in the reaction oftrialkylphosphines with chalcogens up in the group. Thisfinding sheds new light on the mechanism of telluride nanocrystalsformation and allow to rationalize the application ofthis key tellurium precursor in the synthesis of nanostructures.The studied solution was applied in the synthesis of HgTecolloidal quantum dots.
